I’m alarmed by the continued presence of armed federal immigration agents in civilian communities. I’m dismayed by rhetoric from public officials that threatens elections, constitutional limits on presidential power, and the domestic use of militarized force. These actions undermine public trust and endanger our democracy. I urge you to assert congressional oversight of federal law enforcement, defend peaceful protest and civil rights, and clearly affirm that elections must occur on time under the Constitution.
