It's beyond time to regulate AI to preserve jobs and preserve humanity. We have thousands of people working to grow artificial intelligence beyond super human intelligence and far fewer people working to regulate and ensure AI doesn't become the entire downfall of humanity just so rich tech companies can profit like crazy. Let me be very clear, we NEED strong AI regulation and we need it NOW. We do not want more data centers, we do not want more AI models. We don't need it! Preserve our water resources and electricity resources! The vast majority of people do not want AI to become this all powerful entity replacing jobs while our economy still doesn't pay those at the bottom enough. We are desperate for meaningful regulation and oversight of AI to preserve our water resources and electrical resources AND ensure our economy doesn't become even more top heavy than it already is.
