Vote Yes for S.4595 the Pell Grant Preservation and Expansion Act

To: Sen. Husted, Rep. Turner, Sen. Moreno

From: A constituent in Springfield, OH

March 29

Hello. I am urging you to vote yes for S.4595, the Pell Grant Preservation and Expansion Act. This legislation is a critical step toward making higher education more accessible and affordable for students across our country. By increasing the maximum Pell Grant award, expanding eligibility, and adjusting funding to keep pace with inflation, this bill addresses the growing financial barriers that prevent many students—especially those from low- and middle-income backgrounds—from pursuing a college education. It also supports adult learners and part-time students, reflecting the realities of today’s workforce and educational pathways. Investing in education is an investment in our nation’s future. Expanding Pell Grants will help reduce student debt, strengthen our workforce, and promote greater equity in higher education. I have a personal and vested interest in this legislation passing as I am now a Licensed Social Worker who might not have been successful in my education and career had I not been the recipient of a Pell Grant. I respectfully urge you to support and advance S.4595.
