Thank you Senator Merkley for standing up for Americans everywhere. You're fighting for our lives and livelihood. I am proud that you are my Senator. You have my back and I have yours! "U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley held a marathon floor speech starting the evening of Oct. 21, 2025 and continuing into the afternoon of Oct. 22, 2025 on the East Coast. Merkley held forth in order to protest President Trump's policies, which Merkley described as 'authoritarian.'"
