Block the FISA extension

To: Sen. Alsobrooks, Rep. Elfreth, Sen. Van Hollen

Block the FISA Extension — No Surveillance Without Warrants Vote no on any FISA extension that lacks warrant protections. Republicans — and some Democrats — tried to sneak a month-long surveillance expansion through during the NBA Finals, when no one was watching. That's not legislating. That's hiding. This extension would hand Bill Pulte expanded surveillance access with zero judicial oversight, and that should alarm anyone who takes the Fourth Amendment seriously. Rep. Massie was right to call out Jim Jordan for talking tough on warrant protections while doing nothing to actually secure them. Words don't protect constituents from warrantless surveillance — votes do. No clean extension. No backdoor deals. If FISA gets renewed, it must include meaningful warrant requirements. Anything less is a betrayal of the people you represent.
