I am writing to demand immediate accountability for the unauthorized war against Iran.
Bombs were falling on Tehran within 48 hours of both governments publicly stating that nuclear talks were progressing and a deal was within reach. The American people deserve answers:
— Who in the Trump administration authorized this war? Where is the Constitutional authorization?
— What is the exit strategy? What does a U.S. "victory" even look like?
— Will ground troops be deployed? If so, who authorized that?
— Why did we strike when diplomacy was working?
— Does this administration understand what China gains on the world stage every single day this conflict drags on?
Over 1,300 Iranians are dead. Six U.S. service members have been killed. The region is in flames. The American public did not consent to this war.
I demand that you use every power available to you to investigate those responsible in the Trump administration, hold them accountable, and work to end this conflict immediately. The carnage must stop.
