I am writing to demand a full investigation into the deeply troubling allegations against Senator Joni Ernst, as reported by ProPublica. The report raises serious concerns about her ethical conduct, specifically regarding personal relationships with senior military officials who were actively lobbying Congress. If true, this is an unacceptable conflict of interest that undermines public trust and damages the integrity of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Congress cannot ignore this. The American people expect their elected officials to serve with integrity, not to use their positions for personal gain or to grant special access to those with whom they have personal relationships. Failing to hold Senator Ernst accountable would send a dangerous message that corruption is tolerated when it comes from within.
I demand that Congress immediately open a formal ethics investigation into these allegations and take appropriate action.
If you choose to remain silent or ignore this issue, know that voters are paying attention, and we will remember who stood for accountability and who turned a blind eye.
