Urgent ceasefire and peace negotiations for Israeli-Palestinian conflict
To: V.P. Harris

The ongoing conflict in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories is a grave humanitarian crisis that demands immediate action. The reported use of artificial intelligence systems by Israel's military to accelerate bombing campaigns and mark thousands of Palestinian civilians as potential targets is deeply concerning. Such indiscriminate violence threatens countless innocent lives and further enflames tensions in the region. We call for an immediate ceasefire and cessation of hostilities by all parties. Israel must end its illegal occupation of Palestinian territories and dismantle the oppressive policies and practices that have perpetuated this cycle of violence for generations. Only through negotiations conducted in good faith, grounded in international law and human rights principles, can a just and lasting peace be achieved. The catastrophic loss of life, including many women and children caught in the crossfire, underscores the moral and strategic imperative to pursue a diplomatic resolution. Continuing down this path of escalating violence will only breed more resentment, trauma and instability. We urge our leaders to uphold their obligations under the Geneva Conventions, prioritize civilian protection, and work tirelessly towards a comprehensive peace agreement that ensures the security, dignity and self-determination of both Israelis and Palestinians.
