Senator Cornyn, while it’s good you asked questions about the SAVE Act, the fact that you already didn’t know much about it is sad and illuminating. It’s also sad you seem so willing to just do what Trump wants and not what is best for your constituents in Texas. By the way Texas already requires ID to vote and noncitizen have never been allowed to vote. The investigations show that voter fraud is very rare. So, what is the point of the SAVE act except to prevent millions of people who do not have passports, the money to obtain one, or that have name changes, from voting. It’s clear to everyone willing to be informed what’s going on here. Will your desire to get an endorsement from Trump, trump common sense? Your vote on the bill will prove to everyone in Texas what you care about most. I urge you to reject these unneeded additional voting requirements.
