The proposal to offer $5 million "gold cards" for wealthy immigrants to gain permanent residency raises serious ethical concerns. This scheme would effectively put a price tag on American citizenship, favoring the ultra-rich over those pursuing legal immigration through existing merit-based channels. Wealth should not determine one's ability to become a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Furthermore, the idea that proceeds from this program could fund deficit reduction is highly problematic - it commodifies immigration for monetary gain and perpetuates an unethical pay-to-play system benefiting the wealthy elite. I urge you to reject this proposal which undermines American values of equality and fairness. Immigration policies must uphold human rights, not allow the presidency to be exploited for profit.
