Are you willing to let the government hit the shutdown cliff before you'll put real guardrails on ICE?
The people need you to agree to enforceable rules that change how immigration enforcement operates in public spaces.
The DHS bill already tries to sell itself as “reform.” It would fund DHS at about $64.4 billion, including roughly $10 billion for ICE, and it includes money for body cameras and independent detention oversight (both roughly $20 million line items).
But that’s not a guardrail system — that’s a PR patch on top of an agency being asked to do aggressive enforcement with weak accountability.
ICE cannot be allowed to terrorize the nation. This is an agency that didn't exist 25 years ago, and it doesn't need to exist now.
Pass the five non-DHS bills now, keep essential services funded, and rewrite DHS funding with enforceable limits — not performative fixes. Better, ABOLISH ICE!
