Defend voters from intimidation and disinformation

To: Sen. Coons, Rep. McBride, Sen. Blunt Rochester

From: A constituent in Newark, DE

January 27

I am writing to respectfully urge you to cosponsor and support the passage of the Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Prevention Act of 2025 (H.R. 4894/S. 2912). This critical legislation seeks to safeguard the integrity of our democratic process by making it a criminal offense to knowingly mislead or intimidate voters. Importantly, the bill addresses emerging threats by explicitly prohibiting the use of artificial intelligence and other technologies to deceive voters. In addition to these protections, the Act requires the submission of post-election reports detailing the number of complaints received, thereby ensuring transparency and accountability in the administration of our elections. I respectfully ask that you cosponsor and work to secure passage of this important legislation that helps protect our right to vote.
