An Open Letter

To: Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray, Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez

From: A verified voter in Vancouver, WA

November 1

I am your constituent and I want to remind you that 42 million Americans can’t affor food. They rely on nutrition assistance. Many of them are children. I want to remind you that almost 90 million Americans have Medicaid. Almost all of them are employed, students, caregivers, or disabled. I want to remind you that by removing the Affordable Care Act subsidies from Americans who need to buy health insurance but can’t earn enough to afford it at full price, you wind up doubling the premiums because so many young people will choose to forego insurance. This Congress has created havoc in America and I want you to take the opportunity to repair each of those problems, Medicaid, Affordable Care Act, Nutrition Assistance before you close any funding deal on the government. I will see your public statements and watch your actions and will vote accordingly.
