I am asking you to publicly call on the Trump administration to immediately invite OSCE/ODIHR international election observers to monitor the 2026 midterm elections. The OSCE has observed U.S. federal elections for more than two decades, under both Republican and Democratic administrations. Refusing to invite them now does not increase confidence in our elections; it undermines it. If our elections are fair and secure, independent observation should be welcomed, not shut out. I want more transparency, not less. I would support a robust international observation mission with enough observers to meaningfully monitor polling, ballot processing, counting, auditing, and certification wherever legally permitted. The United States has long urged other countries to accept independent international election observation. We should hold ourselves to the same standard. Please press the administration to reverse this decision and support congressional action that protects transparent, independent election observation.
