Prioritize environmental stewardship of national forests over exploitation

To: Rep. Reschenthaler, Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman

From: A verified voter in Crabtree, PA

March 12

Our national forests are national treasures that belong to all Americans, not just private interests seeking profits. Allowing unrestrained logging without considering the environmental impacts jeopardizes the very purpose of these protected lands. We must learn from past mistakes of unchecked exploitation that degraded our natural resources. The long-term health of our forests, wildlife, air, and water is invaluable and must take priority over short-term commercial gains. I urge you to uphold environmental protections and sustainable practices in managing our national forests for the benefit of current and future generations. Hasty deregulation driven by private industry undermines responsible stewardship of these public lands.
