Accountability for War Crimes Policy

To: Rep. Rutherford, Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody

From: A constituent in Jacksonville, FL

December 4

I am writing to you today as a concerned constituent to express my profound alarm regarding recent reports concerning the administration’s policy directing military strikes on alleged drug boats, specifically the incident detailed in recent news reports involving the follow-on strike that resulted in the killing of survivors. I am gravely concerned by reporting that alleges the administration, including the President and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, directed a policy that resulted in the intentional targeting and killing of survivors clinging to wreckage after the initial strike. Such actions, if true, represent a fundamental violation of the laws of armed conflict and core American values. As your constituent, I demand that you immediately initiate and support proceedings for the impeachment of both Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the President. The gravity of a reported policy directing the killing of defenseless survivors warrants the most serious form of congressional accountability. I urge you to take decisive and immediate action to investigate these reports thoroughly and to fulfill your constitutional duty to ensure accountability in the Executive Branch. Thank you for your prompt attention to this critical matter.
