Demand Pam Bondi testify before Congress regarding the Epstein redactions

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

December 22

I am writing to urge you to demand Attorney General Pam Bondi testify before Congress regarding the Justice Department's failure to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. This Republican administration's handling of this legally-mandated disclosure represents a serious violation of federal law requiring immediate congressional intervention. The situation was made worse when at least 16 files disappeared from the DoJ's public webpage without explanation. This removal of already-released materials indicates an active effort to conceal information from the public rather than good faith compliance with transparency the law requires. This Republican administration is actively ignoring the constitutionally-endowed power of the legislative branch. By releasing such heavily-redacted files, it is pointedly defying your authority as a member of Congress. Why are you not pushing back against that? Attorney General Bondi must testify under oath before Congress to explain why the DoJ is defying a bipartisan law and what role she played in these redactions. My wife and I urge you to compel her testimony and hold the DoJ accountable for this flagrant violation of federal law. The American people deserve answers about who is being protected and why.
