Accountability for Strategic and Moral Failure in Starting the Iran War

I am writing to express my disgust and profound alarm regarding the ongoing military operations against Iran. What the administration is attempting to frame as "warrior strength" is, in reality, a catastrophic failure of planning, conception, and moral leadership.
This administration went in like a bull in a china shop and broke a fragile regional order with no imminent threat, no clear goal, and absolutely no plan for what comes next. By launching a war on Iran in the middle of active diplomatic negotiations, we have positioned the United States as a primary aggressor, destroyed our international credibility, and left our allies to deal with the fallout of a war they did not ask for.
The failures here are epic:
-- Strategic Failure: There is no clear purpose, no defined end state and no defined exit strategy. We have decapitated a regime without any plan for the ensuing power vacuum, ensuring another "forever war" that will cost trillions of dollars and countless lives.
-- Operational Failure: There was clearly no viable plan for the evacuation of civilians or the protection of U.S. personnel in the region, who are now sitting ducks for predictable retaliation.
-- Moral Failure: Regardless of the Iranian regime's nature, the U.S. has chosen to be the unprovoked aggressor. We are currently presiding over a humanitarian disaster of our own making, including reports of strikes on civilian infrastructure and schools.
As my representative, expect you to stop supporting this blunder and start exercising your Constitutional duty to check the illegal, unconstitutional executive power grab. I demand that you:
1.. Support a War Powers Resolution to immediately halt unauthorized hostilities and place the control back into the hands of congress, where it belongs.
2.. Demand a public, detailed exit strategy from the White House, and hold back additional funding until an appropriate plan is in place.
3.. Start holding the administration accountable for the lack of coordination with allies who are now under fire because of our ill-conceived unilateral actions.
History will judge this as a foolish and avoidable venture and an epic failure. Please, please stop being part of the problem and start being part of the solution.
