I am writing today about the state of the poor here in Texas. It seems you have grown cold in your older age. Governor, with SNAP benefits in arrears, those who can least afford a government shutdown are now set to starve. If you think voters will forgot how you acted during the shutdown, you are wrong. Please work to release funds to SNAP beneficiaries immediately. Failure to do so could be bad for everyone. Furthermore, I would urge you to remember that these funds are universally used upon receipt and show up in groceries, farmers-markets and convenience stores all across Texas. It’s good for the poor if you release these funds and good for business as well. In short, it’s a win for you. Take the win Governor, take the win!
