We Did Not Vote for War Crimes — Stop This Now
To: Pres. Trump
From: A constituent in Victorville, CA
April 7
I am a mother in Hesperia, California and I am outraged. Your threat that "a whole civilization will die tonight" is unconscionable. Destroying every power plant and bridge in a country of 88 million people is not strength — it is collective punishment and a war crime. We did not elect you to obliterate civilizations. We did not elect you to bomb elementary schools that kill 170 children. And the fact that commentators with direct access to you are openly calling for nuclear weapons to be used against Iran is beyond horrifying. You said you believe in peace. You said you care about the Iranian people. Then stop this. Accept the mediators' proposals. Choose diplomacy. My children will live with what you decide tonight. History will judge you for it. Act like you understand that.
