Trump has ordered 59% of national forests to be cut down for profit. This means that in California over 11 million acres would be cut down! This is an appalling idea, that would devastate precious green zones that protect birds, fish and animals, including rare species that would become extinct. It would also destroy a valuable asset for fighting pollution because trees absorb carbon dioxide, and create oxygen. Forests also fight global warming by keeping our planet cooler. It’s heart breaking to imagine a future where these forest would be gone for ever, and future generations would be deprived of their beauty. This is criminal!
