Protect access to the ballot

To: Sen. Justice, Sen. Capito

From: A verified voter in Inwood, WV

February 12

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the SAVE Act and to urge you to protect every eligible voter’s access to the ballot. Free, fair, and accessible elections are the foundation of our democracy. Policies that risk disenfranchising lawful voters—whether through burdensome documentation requirements, administrative barriers, or reduced flexibility in registration—undermine public trust and participation in the electoral process. Many Americans, including seniors, military families, students, and working people, could face unnecessary obstacles that make it harder to exercise their fundamental right to vote. Safeguarding election integrity is important, but it must never come at the cost of excluding eligible citizens or weakening equal access. I respectfully ask that you oppose measures that restrict voter access and instead support solutions that expand secure, transparent, and convenient voting for all eligible Americans. Please stand for the principle that our democracy is strongest when every qualified voice can be heard. Thank you for your time and for your commitment to protecting the rights of all your constituents.
