The executive branch's overreach threatens the foundations of American democracy and the system of checks and balances enshrined in the Constitution. Congress must exercise its constitutional authority as a co-equal branch of government to uphold the rule of law and safeguard our democratic institutions from further erosion. Failure to act decisively jeopardizes the integrity of our republic and the principles of limited government and individual liberty it was established to protect.
