Let the stall continue…as generally expected, even though Congress united to pass a resolution ordering the DOJ to release its Epstein holdings, Pam Bondi is instead going back to a previously failed attempt to convince us they are operating in good faith to comply. The DOJ is again asking a federal court in Florida to unseal grand jury testimony related to Epstein/Maxwell. This is the first public action on the matter by the Trump administration since Congress overwhelmingly passed the bill. A bill that the president signed ordering release all of DOJ nonclassified records on the cases. Deja vu all over again. “In the light of the Act’s clear mandate, the Court should authorize the Department of Justice to release the grand jury transcripts and lift any preexisting protective orders that would otherwise prevent public disclosure,” said the department’s motion, which was signed by AG Bondi and other officials. 
Even though federal courts have previously declined to release the grand jury testimony. Basically saying the DOJ’s own files contain way more relevant and comprehensive info. And there is no indication a judge would make a different ruling by simply asking a second time. 
But by doing so, the DOJ hopes to suggest the Trump administration is busy working on the congressional demand for the release of Epstein-related material. Add these reassuring words from the WH spokesperson: “President Trump has been consistently calling for transparency related to the Epstein files — by releasing thousands of pages of documents, cooperating with the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena request, and President Trump recently calling for further investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends, the Trump Administration has done more for the victims than Democrats ever have.” If any of that were actually true he would have released the files by now. Reminder: he can do that anytime, anywhere. Why won’t he? Even MTG sees through the BS, writing, “Standing up for American women who were raped at 14, trafficked and used by rich powerful men, should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States, whom I fought for.” This is the viewpoint shared by an overwhelming majority of humans on the planet. But it seems a sentiment misunderstood by those who have replaced their decency with political fealty. Further showing how even extreme political loyalty can be finally be shattered when pushed too far, MTG is resigning her House seat rather than allowing herself to be treated by Trump like what she called “a battered wife hoping it all goes away and gets better.” It never gets better. It only gets worse. Maybe it’s time y’all think about saving yourselves? Or at least stand by your vote to release the Epstein files. Keep the pressure up. Make certain your positive action results in real progress. Stop participating in the gaslighting of America.
