I am writing to you as a deeply concerned American citizen to strongly condemn Israel’s recent illegal attack on Iran. This reckless act is a clear violation of international law, threatens to escalate an already volatile region, and risks dragging the United States into another endless and unjust war. The American people did not authorize this aggression, and we must not allow our government to be complicit in it. Prime Minister Netanyahu must be held accountable for his own actions—our country must not shield him from the consequences.
This is not an isolated incident. The Netanyahu government has consistently flouted international norms, and nowhere is this more evident than in its brutal and ongoing assault on Gaza. Over 35,000 Palestinians—including thousands of women and children—have been killed in Gaza since October 2023. By comparison, Israel has suffered far fewer casualties. The scale of the violence is appalling, and the deliberate targeting of civilians, homes, hospitals, and aid workers constitutes clear and repeated war crimes.
Despite this, the United States has continued to send billions of dollars in military aid to Israel—funded by our hard-earned taxpayer money. How is it justifiable that we bankroll war crimes abroad while millions of Americans here at home struggle to afford basic healthcare, housing, and education? Our priorities as a nation are dangerously skewed, and this must change.
I urge you to immediately:
Condemn Israel’s illegal attack on Iran and refuse any U.S. involvement or support.
Demand accountability for Israel’s war crimes in Gaza, including independent investigations and consequences for violations of international law.
Cease all military aid to Israel, particularly under Netanyahu’s extremist and authoritarian leadership.
Redirect those taxpayer dollars to urgently needed programs for the American people, including healthcare, housing, and infrastructure.
This is a matter of justice, humanity, and national integrity. Do not let our nation be complicit in crimes against humanity. The world is watching—and history will remember where each of you stood.
