The confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services raises significant concerns. His long history of promoting anti-vaccine misinformation and questioning the safety of vaccines is deeply troubling for someone being considered to lead an agency responsible for public health. Given the crucial role of vaccines in protecting public health, having someone who has undermined confidence in vaccines in this position could have grave consequences. Furthermore, the potential conflicts of interest stemming from Kennedy's financial ties to vaccine litigation cases are unacceptable and create an appearance of impropriety that is unbecoming for such a high-ranking government official. For the sake of safeguarding public trust and promoting sound, evidence-based health policies, Kennedy's nomination should be rejected. The American people deserve an HHS Secretary committed to following scientific consensus and upholding the integrity of the department.
