Please go on record condemning President Trump's decision to put words in the mouths of four service members killed in the Iran military conflict. On his way to their dignified transfer ceremony in Dover, Trump told reporters that all four soldiers said "very strongly, We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon." There is no evidence any of them ever said that. He fabricated quotes from people who can no longer speak for themselves, then used those fabricated quotes to sell an unpopular war. This isn't an isolated moment. Trump followed it with a social media post ranking American wars by casualties — Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea — as if 18 deaths in four months is a scoreboard win. These were real people. Their families were watching. Treating the dead as props to justify policy is a profound betrayal of the military families this country claims to honor. Silence from elected officials is its own statement. I want to hear you explicitly call out what Trump did: he lied about the final words of fallen soldiers to manipulate public opinion. Say it plainly.
