I am writing to urge you to support impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Pam Bondi based on her conduct and actions that I believe violate the principles of equal justice and constitutional governance.
The recent exclusion of Democratic governors from National Governors Association conference events by the Trump administration demonstrates a pattern of partisan weaponization of federal institutions. When the Attorney General's office operates as an extension of political retaliation rather than as an independent guardian of the rule of law, it undermines the foundation of our justice system. This behavior sets a dangerous precedent where access to federal officials and participation in longstanding bipartisan forums becomes contingent on political alignment.
The Attorney General has a constitutional duty to serve all Americans impartially, not to facilitate political vendettas or selective enforcement based on party affiliation. When federal law enforcement becomes a tool for punishing political opponents rather than upholding justice, we move closer to authoritarianism and further from the democratic principles our nation was founded upon.
I am deeply concerned about the erosion of institutional independence within the Department of Justice. The Attorney General must be held to the highest standards of ethical conduct and constitutional fidelity. When those standards are violated through partisan actions that undermine equal treatment under law, impeachment is the appropriate constitutional remedy.
I urge you to investigate Attorney General Bondi's conduct, support articles of impeachment if warranted, and take a public stand for the independence of our justice system. Our constituents deserve a Department of Justice that serves the Constitution and the American people, not partisan political interests. The integrity of our democratic institutions depends on accountability at the highest levels of government.
