No war with Cuba

To: Rep. Larsen, Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray

From: A constituent in Clinton, WA

March 13

I am writing to express concern about President Trump’s recent statements regarding a potential military action against Cuba. I urge you to compel the administration to seek congressional approval and fully explain any proposed action to the American people before it is taken. The United States has no immediate threat from Cuba, and an unprovoked attack would violate our national principles and international law. While the Cuban people endure oppression, history has shown that military force rarely achieves lasting change and often results in loss of life, damaged alliances, and enormous costs that could be better spent on domestic priorities. Like what's happening now due to Trump's illegal war in Iran. Please act now to prevent additional premature and unilateral decisions that jeopardize our safety and stability. Thank you,
