An Open Letter

To: Rep. Kennedy, Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee

From: A constituent in Holladay, UT

November 14

Congress must fund the ACA subsidy credits. We've decided as a nation not to use a single payer for health insurance, so there are no checks or balances on what insurance companies will charge. Without those subsidy credits, millions of Americans will not be able to afford health insurance. My premium this year is going up 30% and my out of pocket max has gone up by more than 50%. Fortunately I am privileged enough to be able to afford it even though it stings. The terrible choice millions of citizens will have to make if you don't take action is to just not seek medical care, and they will die of preventable illness because of the refusal of the Republicans in Congress to renew these credits. Please do what the people want and renew these credits immediately.
