Oppose Unqualified, Extremist Cabinet Nominees Undermining Democracy
To: Sen. McConnell, Sen. Paul
From: A verified voter in Lexington, KY
November 17
Thank you for bringing this concerning slate of Cabinet nominees to my attention. I urge you to carefully scrutinize these picks and reject nominations that could enable further erosion of democratic norms and institutions. Installing strident loyalists like Matt Gaetz, Pete Hegseth, Kristi Noem, Tulsi Gabbard, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. into powerful positions would be deeply troubling. Many have amplified disinformation, embraced extremist views, or attacked fundamental rights and freedoms. A Cabinet stacked with unqualified ideologues beholden solely to the president poses grave risks to our system of checks and balances. It threatens the independence of agencies charged with upholding the rule of law and protecting public welfare. I implore you to elevate nominees of integrity who will faithfully execute the duties of their offices in service of all Americans, not merely enable the president's personal agenda. Our democratic institutions rely on ethical public servants committed to truth and accountability. Responsible governance and national unity should be the highest priorities.
