THE HOUSE HAS VOTED TO RESCIND PUBLIC MEDIA FUNDING. e I enjoy content created by WTIF. This could affect local publications throughout the United States, including in Pennsylvania. I, for example, am a resident of central Pennsylvania, wher WTIF is at risk. There local branches of programs such as PBS and NPR could lose funding as a result of this decision These media outlets provide locals which enriching and educational content from their own backyards. They also provide many videographers, writers, and o ther artists with jobs. Not to mention, WTIF offers in person events to the public which provide great opportunities. One example would be the Youth Voice Imperative Summer Program. This program gives students a chance to create their own content, and like wise educating them on topics like research and equipment use. If you truly care about the common man within Pennsylvania, do something to support his way of expression.
