Stop the madness

To: Rep. Baumgartner, Sen. Murray, Sen. Cantwell

From: A constituent in Waitsburg, WA

August 15

I am every day more saddened by the state of our nation. Why is my President spending over an hour announcing honorees for Kenndy Center prizes? why, when the time of dignitaries is so precious that their schedules are limited to 15 minutes blocks - is he spending time 1) selecting honorees, 2) announcing honorees 3) declaring he will host the actual dispersal of the honors- which on television is shrunk to 2.5 hours but must be longer in reality. Why is he rambling and talking about things unrelated to the announcement of the honors? Why is the president of the United states- the "free World" on the eve of an important discussion with Putin (a meeting stupidly taking place in Alaska- a state that Russian State media declares still belongs to Russia)- why is he appearing on Television to ramble for over an hour on unrelated topics that make him appear meglamanic, narcisisitic, and unfit to manage his household grocery shopping let alone handle decisions that affect the peace of the world? Why are no impeachment movements being conducted for a man who is unfit for office?? America is not a world power any longer, but is the laughingstock of the world - with world leaders offering bribes and fawning trumps ego to get individual favors and allowances. Our nation has ceased to be a democracy. Why is congress not using the powers they have to stop this madness? Congress controls tariffs. Congress controls acts of war. Congress controls aid. Why have you abandoned your jobs to let a mad, naked, emperor appear on Television and besmirch the name and reputation of our nation at home and abroad?
