I am appalled that Trump has has fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Charles Q. Brown and the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Lisa Franchetti. I am offended that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth disparaged their honorable carries by saying they were a “DEI hire.” I'm enraged that the vice chief of the Air Force, General James Slife, has also been fired, and Hegseth indicated he intends to fire the judge advocates general, or JAGs—the military lawyers who administer the military code of justice—for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Trumps statements that he intends to nominate Air Force Lieutenant General John Dan “Razin” Caine to be the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is absolutely ridiculous and infuriating as he legally does not meet the minimum fault occasions to serve. As a military family, I am offended and appalled by these actions. I'm scared for the many friends my family has still in the service. It's time for you to speak out about these reckless changes for military leadership. You disrespect my family members' service and sacrifice each minute you remain silent. It is time for you to serve your military constituents and speak out about these actions that endanger all of us.
