I’m writing because I’m deeply concerned about ongoing abuses of power by President Trump that undermine our constitutional separation of powers and threaten democratic norms. These actions include attempts to politicize the military, weaponize federal agencies against opponents, circumvent laws using emergency powers, attack free speech, and erode Congress’s authority. I ask that you forcefully condemn these abuses, refuse to pass any “blank check” spending bills that enable unlawful executive actions, support investigations into misuse of office, and back articles of impeachment or other accountability measures. If you will not fulfill your duty to defend the Constitution, I will support a representative who will. Thank you for your time.
