I am writing to urge you in the strongest possible terms to vote NO on the SAVE Act (H.R. 22). This bill is a direct attack on the very foundation of our democracy—our right to vote—a right already guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
Let’s be clear: this legislation will disproportionately harm married women, military service members, senior citizens, and transgender Americans. It creates unnecessary barriers for communities that already face challenges accessing the ballot. It’s not about “election integrity.” It’s about silencing voices—especially those of women and minorities—so that only a select few, mostly white men, can continue to dominate the direction of this country.
We have spent the last hundred years fighting for voting rights—for all Americans. Are we really going to let a group of angry men, upset about losing influence, strip those rights away?
I demand that you do what is right for the people of Nebraska and for our country. Protect our democracy. Protect our neighbors. Protect the sacred right to vote.
Vote NO on H.R. 22.
