Condemning the Mistreatment of Migrant Children in San Antonio

I am writing to express my profound outrage and deep concern over the recent reports that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents restrained migrant children with zip ties during their detention at the San Antonio Immigration Court. These actions are not only unconscionable but also contradict the fundamental values of our nation.
No child—regardless of their immigration status—should ever experience such treatment at the hands of government authorities. The use of zip ties on children is a gross violation of their dignity and humanity, adding unnecessary trauma to an already difficult situation. The American legal system should be a place where due process and compassion prevail, not where innocent children are subjected to such harsh enforcement tactics.
I urge you to speak out against these appalling actions, demand accountability from ICE, and advocate for immediate policy changes that prevent further harm to migrant children. These children deserve humane treatment and a fair chance at justice, not physical restraint and psychological distress.
As your constituent, I call on you to take action. Please stand with the people of this country who believe in protecting vulnerable children and holding agencies accountable for their misconduct. We need leaders who will defend human rights, not turn a blind eye to injustice.
