Vote NO on the SAVE Act — Protect Voting Rights for All Americans
To: Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman
From: A verified voter in Cranberry Township, PA
April 16
I’m writing to urge you to vote against the SAVE Act. As a husband to a wife who changed her name after marriage, and as a parent of daughters who may one day choose to do the same, I’m deeply concerned about the unnecessary barriers this bill would create for eligible voters.
The documentation requirements outlined in the SAVE Act, particularly those tying voter registration to exact name matches on birth certificates, would make it difficult — if not impossible — for countless Americans, especially women who change their names due to marriage, to register and exercise their right to vote.
Voting is a fundamental right, not a privilege reserved only for those who can navigate bureaucratic name mismatches. This bill would disenfranchise lawful citizens and create confusion and hardship for people like my wife, my daughters, and millions of others.
Please stand up for fair and accessible elections. I urge you to vote NO on the SAVE Act.
Thank you for your time and for your service to our state.
