STOP THE 1.8B Slush fund ‘SETTLEMENT’

To: Sen. Hickenlooper, Rep. DeGette, Sen. Bennet

From: A constituent in Denver, CO

May 18

I am a constituent who lives in Denver. I am writing today to express my outrage, yet again, at the administration’s corruption and self dealing and to demand that you, and all Democrats and hopefully any public minded republicans remaining, join in publicly and collectively expressing their condemnation (and TAKING ACTION TO OUTLAW), the “agreement” reached today between Trump and his IRS to create a nearly 2 B fund to use in whatever manner he and his cohorts deem appropriate to “compensate” those who have acted against our democracy (ie Jan 6 rioters etc,). THIS HAS TO STOP HERE. Congress cannot continued to abrogate its constitutional obligation of oversight and protection of the American people. PLEASE TREAT THIS AS THE EMERGENCY THAT IT IS!
