I am writing with a heavy heart to share a difficult decision regarding my support for our party.
The promise of transparent, honest reflection after recent setbacks has given way to spin, misdirection, and empty assurances under DNC Chair Ken Martin. Watching leadership try to suppress the post-mortem report until it leaked—and then releasing a version that omitted crucial chapters on top-of-ticket decisions and core strategic failures—is deeply dispiriting. It signals a party more concerned with avoiding blame than doing the hard work of rebuilding trust with working-class communities.
I take no satisfaction in this, but I cannot in good conscience continue funding a party apparatus that refuses to confront its own missteps. Until Ken Martin steps down, leadership demonstrates a genuine commitment to accountability, and the complete post-mortem is openly addressed and acted upon, I am suspending all financial contributions to the DNC, party PACs, and individual Democratic candidates.
I hope you will use your voice within the party to urge a change in direction before the distance between the party leadership and its grassroots base widens further.
