Hello, I am a constituent in zip code 77041. I am writing to voice my opposition to SB 2. While the bill claims to prioritize low-income families, with a threshold 5 times the poverty line and double the state's median household income, the bill is out of touch and does not serve our low-income families. With funding for less than 2% of Texas students, it's clear this isn't about choice, but providing a taxpayer funded coupon for the few. I am asking you to vote No and to instead fully fund public education. Thank you.
