EMERGENCY NATIONAL ALERT
The Patient Safety and Transparency Act Purpose:
To create one mandatory system that links all of us people’s medical records across all states lines and federal borders connecting us as 1 nation healthcare systems , so every healthcare provider can see the full picture before prescribing or treating.
Key Provisions: 1. Unified Database: The federal government shall establish and maintain a single, nationwide, interoperable database containing all patient prescription records, medication histories, and relevant medical records. States shall not maintain separate silos. All state data must feed into and be accessible through this federal system.
2. **Mandatory Use:** All hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and licensed prescribers nationwide must connect to the system and check it before prescribing, dispensing, or administering any medication. No exceptions. Failure to check the system prior to care is a federal offense.
3. **State Responsibility & Liability:** Each state is responsible for ensuring compliance within its jurisdiction. If a state fails to enforce connection to and use of the system, and a patient is harmed as a result, the state shall be held liable for that harm. This is a federal offense.
4. **Detox and Transition Transparency:** When a patient is being tapered off or removed from prescribed medications, the state, hospitals, and all medical providers must be transparent about the detox protocol. They must align with scientific and medical standards for safe detox. Providers must document and cross-reference whether the substances involved are from doctor-prescribed medications or from non-prescribed sources such as alcohol or other substances, and distinguish between them in the record.
