I urge you to stand firm and insist that Republicans restore healthcare subsidies to the Federal Budget. I hear news reports that some Democrats want to compromise on this in order to end the government shutdown. This would be a betrayal of millions of Americans who depend on the ACA and Medicare for their healthcare. As damaging as the shutdown is, the damage from eliminating these subsidies would be worse. Do not vote for any bill that does not include restoration of these subsidies.
