Public media fosters civic engagement, elevates local voices, and serves as a critical information lifeline. The proposed cuts would endanger these services and risk creating “news deserts” that leave communities uninformed and vulnerable. At a time when disinformation spreads rapidly, defunding NPR is not only shortsighted—it’s dangerous. Please stand with your constituents and safeguard public broadcasting.
