An Open Letter

To: Rep. Norcross, Sen. Booker, Sen. Kim

From: A constituent in Cherry Hill, NJ

February 2

It appears that granting Elon Musk's team access to the Treasury Department's federal payment system raises significant concerns about potential abuse of power and overreach. Allowing representatives from an extralegal entity like the "Department of Government Efficiency" to monitor and potentially limit congressionally approved spending is a troubling violation of constitutional checks and balances. This could enable the administration to arbitrarily block payments and improperly withhold funds in contradiction to laws passed by Congress. I urge you to thoroughly investigate this matter and take immediate action to revoke this unauthorized access. Safeguarding the integrity of our democratic institutions and upholding the separation of powers is paramount. Unchecked executive overreach that circumvents Congress' power of the purse cannot be tolerated. Please act swiftly to address this illegal data breach and protect the American people's interests.
