I hold back tears nearly every day watching this country unravel under Trump and the movement around him. What we’re witnessing is not conservatism, constitutionalism, or patriotism. It’s something dangerous, authoritarian, and deeply un-American.
It is anti-Christian in its hatred, anti-democratic in strategy, and anti-Constitutional in its disregard for truth, checks, and balances. It’s eroding the soul of our nation.
So I ask you—urgently:
What’s your red flag? Where do you draw the line?
As your constituent, I need to know:
At what point do you say “enough”?
When does loyalty to a man become betrayal of the republic?
When do you speak up—not just privately, but publicly—for decency, democracy, and the rule of law?
If the line has already been crossed, please tell us what you’re doing.
If not, tell us exactly where it is—and what you’ll do when it’s crossed.
We feel like we’re screaming into the wind. We feel betrayed by silence and the normalization of cruelty that violates everything we were raised to believe about America.
Do you believe in due process?
That political opponents shouldn’t be jailed or silenced?
That immigrants are human beings?
That the government should serve people, not corporations?
That kindness is not weakness?
If so, now is the time to prove it.
We’ve watched as:
Immigrants are stripped of legal rights
Judges, educators, and journalists are smeared
Safety nets are slashed while billionaires thrive
Our national moral compass spins in chaos
This isn’t leadership. It isn’t liberty.
I wrote a protest song called “What’s Your Red Flag?” It asks:
What’s your red flag? Where do you draw the line?
When does your conscience burn too loud to stay quiet one more time?
Write it down now. We all need to know.
Please, speak up. Publicly.
Show us where you stand—before it’s too late.
