The Big Ugly Bill funneled enough money into ICE and Border Patrol coffers to fund their terror for years to come. Now the administration is trying to use this money to do a massive expansion in detention facilities across the country - buying up properties, and sometimes actually converting warehouses into camps that will hold human beings in dangerous and horrifying conditions. Even some Republicans are criticizing the warehouses – from Pennsylvania, to Tennessee, and beyond. You must continue to publicly use every tool at your disposal to oppose any proposed expansion of DHS detention facilities in our state and around the country. The immigrant, Hispanic, and other minority communities are important members of our local state, and we cannot accept such horrible treatment of our fellow human beings. Thank you for using your power as my elected official to reject all expansions of Trump’s mass detention and deportation agenda.
