Vote YES on the Older Americans Act Reauthorization Act of 2025
To: Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno
From: A constituent in Dayton, OH
February 23
Dear Senator Moreno and Senator Husted,
I am writing to respectfully urge you to vote YES on the Older Americans Act Reauthorization Act of 2025, which is currently pending before Congress.
As a social work professional in Ohio, I work with older adults who depend on services funded through the Older Americans Act, including home-delivered meals, caregiver support, transportation, and in-home assistance. These programs are essential in helping older adults remain safely in their homes and communities while maintaining dignity and independence.
For many older adults in Ohio, especially those living on fixed incomes, these services are not luxuries—they are lifelines. I have seen firsthand how food insecurity, social isolation, limited transportation, and financial strain negatively impact the health and well-being of seniors. Reauthorizing and strengthening the Older Americans Act ensures continued funding and support for programs that reduce hospitalization, prevent institutionalization, and improve quality of life.
Supporting this legislation is an investment in Ohio’s aging population and in the families who care for them. I strongly urge you to vote YES on the Older Americans Act Reauthorization Act of 2025.
Thank you for your time and for your service to the people of Ohio.
