Stand for Justice: Ban Anonymized Policing and ICE Abuses in Delaware

To: Sen. Seigfried, Rep. Lambert

From: A constituent in Claymont, DE

July 9

Please, PLEASE take legislative action to confront the rising use of masked, anonymous law enforcement and abusive ICE tactics IMMEDIATELY. We cannot have this happen in Delaware. As a state legislator, you can: • Introduce and support legislation to ban masks and anonymized uniforms for state, local, and federal law enforcement operating within Delaware during public enforcement and to require that law enforcement wear visible identification and agency affiliation during public operations. • Prevent state or local data sharing with federal agents, including license plate data, DMV information, and university records. • Strengthen sanctuary protections by banning local law enforcement and public institutions from cooperating with ICE or other federal agencies involved in immigration raids or political targeting • Use your platforms to publicly condemn ICE disappearances, masked enforcement, and political retaliation. We, the people, need you to lead with urgency and principle, and help deliver a legislative response for our state grounded in justice, transparency, and accountability.
