I am asking you to vote no on the rescissions package clawing back money that you, or your predecessors, previously allowed for many worthwhile programs, such as Public Radio and television. All of these cuts were made without any thought to the consequences or effects on your constituents. Foreign aid is not a luxury, it is a strategic defense move to help our fellow humans from falling into the abyss of poverty and starvation which would lead to unstable governments. Canceling this would allow China to swoop in and expand their influence in many areas. A am demanding a No vote on this. I cannot support any Senator who would be so cruel.
